The client appointed David Morley Architects (DMA), in collaboration with Marek Wojciechowski Architects, to provide architectural services to retrofit and convert the existing space. DMA’s considerable experience in healthcare design took into careful consideration what was needed to ensure building compliance with healthcare governance in line with American clinical methodologies.

Each clinic has been planned to deliver a very high quality experience for the particular patient group who uses each floor. The patient experience has been supported by an interior design which is refreshing and far removed from a typical healthcare facility. The sensitive use of natural light, natural materials and soft curves compliment a design underpinned by a flexible kit of parts where, for example, consulting rooms, procedure rooms and patient ‘pods’ have been developed to a high quality and repeated throughout all of the clinics.

Each clinic floor is typically split into three zones:

1. Reception and waiting.
2. Patient ‘pod’ and associated support facilities/ or consulting and treatment rooms.
3. Clinical spaces comprising of procedure rooms or theatres with associated clinical support facilities.

Patients/ visitors will be accompanied by staff during their time at the facility, guiding them from one place to the next, providing help and support throughout procedures.
