It was fantastic to see the University of Warwick welcome Team GB’s athletes – Toby Roberts, Hamish McArthur, Erin McNeice and Molly Thompson-Smith – to the university’s Climbing Centre ahead of this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Climbing Centre is located at The Sports and Wellness Hub, designed by David Morley Architects as the central part of a project that puts sport and physical activity at the heart of university life.
John Garside, Head of Performance at Team GB Climbing said, “we wanted to show the public the joy and vibrancy of climbing and this facility does just that.” Thank you to the University of Warwick for supporting Team GB’s athletes in the lead up to the games, and we hope that they enjoyed the Hub’s inspiring climbing facilities as much as the students do.
With 10 days to go now until the start of the games in Paris, the team at David Morley Architects wish all of the athletes the best of luck!
