The recently completed ‘Beech Court Pavilion’ at Abingdon School was recognised as an Education Building finalist for the Schüco Excellence Awards 2024. The pavilion provides the school with a flexible space for approximately 250 diners, with a new kitchen and servery, and a new foyer space for the connected Amey Theatre building.

Beech Court Pavilion has sustainability at its heart and achieves an EPC A rating using a host of passive measures and low energy technologies. The use of Hi Insulated Schüco products has helped improved the building’s energy performance by creating a highly insulated, air-tight envelope with excellent daylight and thermal performance.

David Morley Architects worked with a team of design consultants including Qoda, engineersHRW, ASA Landscape Architects, and Beard Construction to deliver the building.

We’re delighted with the shortlist for Beech Court Pavilion and we look forward to sharing more images and details of the project very soon.
