The construction of the new complex has seen the comprehensive redevelopment of the existing sports centre to make way for a new building, which is three times the previous size. The complex includes a new main sports hall, 200 station fitness suite, sports science facilities and office accommodation. The creation of a modern, custom-built sporting infrastructure is playing a major role in inspiring increased participation.
