Their collaborations with leading public and private sector companies and organisations mean our pro-grammes are led by real-world issues and genuine industry challenges. The Collaborative Project is an important constituent part of many of our programmes, and enables students to bring direct benefit to local, national and global society, which in turn plays an instrumental role in their own success.
One of the main design challenges was to create an appropriate collaborative environment in a five-storey building with low floor to floor heights. The design solution involved cutting out floor plates to create visual and physical links between different floor levels, removing ceilings and working with innovative furniture and partition solutions to create a flexible but inspiring environment.
