Lord’s Cricket Ground Development Proposal
I think the Morley plans at both ends of the ground are very good. The last plans were too big, but the scale of this proposal is reasonable. I would like to see the plans realised. It’s definitely worth having a very, very strong look at, with a very open mind. David Gower, former England captain as quoted in the 19 Oct 2014 edition of The Sunday Telegraph.”
David Morley Architects work at Lord’s, the Home of Cricket, covers over 15 different projects to date. Their most recent work includes a mixed use development for RLP which would provide funding to deliver ground improvements and new stands, creating more space for the public and members to enjoy cricket and fantastic new facilities including a
two storey Nursery Pavilion with views to the Media Centre and Main Ground. A transformation of the Wellington Road frontage to Lord’s is proposed with wider pavements, a new entrance and space for cricket themed commercial uses such as the Lord’s Shop and Museum.
