King's Mill Hospital
David Morley Architects has proven to be a superb, and extremely capable architectural practice who care, listen and action matters to the complete satisfaction of the client. Their skills are equally demonstrable in persuading contractors on alternative yet acceptable design solutions without always the need always for a cost increase. The respect earned by DMA both within the MAS project but much wider on the national platform is richly deserved.”
The £320 million redevelopment of King’s Mill Hospital now offers over 550 bed spaces (over half of them in single-occupancy en-suite rooms), deals with over 30,000 inpatients, 106,000 emergency cases, and 77,000 day cases, whilst delivering over 3,100 babies each year. Many beds also enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the North Nottinghamshire countryside. David Morley Architects developed the initial masterplan and Design Exemplar and then acted as the Trust’s advisors during the PFI procurement.
