Fish and Coal
David Morley Architects have been appointed by Argent Group Plc. to plan a mixed use development in the former 2,000 sqm Fish and Coal Offices at the King’s Cross Central Development, located alongside the Regents Canal in London. The building was built in stages in the mid-1800’s as offices for the companies distributing coal and later fish from the goods yards behind Kings Cross station.
The new proposals will bring out the strong character of the existing buildings to create a vibrant mixed use development of catering, retail and office units. The proposals have been developed in consultation with English Heritage.
