Luca Dalmasso

Luca obtained his Master Degree in 2012 at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, Switzerland.

 

In 2009 completed his first placement in Melbourne where he worked for Coy Yiontis Architects and O’Connor+Houle Architecture. There he focused mainly in construction details for private residences and was also part of the team in charge of a public competition. He furthermore collaborated with few Italian firms for CGIs and visualizations while completing his masters coursework.

 

After his degree Luca worked in Lugano where he focused on the realization of two residential blocks in St. Moritz. Here he gained great experience in design, tender drawings, cost control, customer relations, and also an understanding of construction dynamics in Switzerland.

 

Luca also worked on the feasibility study for the development of the Splendide Royal Hotel in Lugano plus a small tower of seven floors for residential use. The draft project was presented and approved by the firm Foster+Partners.

 

He joined David Morley Architects in April 2015 and since then he worked on 119 Ebury St, a highly sustainable refurbishment within a heritage context; Blueprint for Lord’s, the development for the home of cricket that foresees 97 luxury apartments and new facilities for public and members; and Argent on Zone W – Triangle, a mixed use development as part of Kings’ Cross Masterplan.

 

Luca took part of the Residential Masterplan Group of DMA and is now working for the planning application of Matlock Spa: the new masterplan for the homonymous town which will host 600 new homes.
