The Plimsoll Building shortlisted for RIBA London Award
The Plimsoll Building has been shortlisted for the 2016 RIBA London Awards.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on May 3 at the University of Greenwich building, a Stirling finalist.
The Plimsoll Building and its two schools have played a vital part in establishing the Gasholder Park residential neighbourhood, in the heritage heart of King's Cross. The 14 storey building provides 178 open market apartments and 77 key worker apartments located above the King’s Cross Academy, a two form entry primary school, Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children, a nursery and community facilities.
In 2014, The Plimsoll Building was the winner of the 2014 New London Housing Award and in 2015 it was shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards.
