DMA take part in World Green Building Week 2013

David Morley Architects are delighted to be taking part in World Green Building Week 2013 hosting a Pecha Kucha event at our offices on Wednesday 18th September.

How long should a green building last?

Date: 18 September 2013
Time: 18:30 – 20:30
Location: David Morley Architects, 18 Hatton Place, London, EC1N 8RU

While the London 2012 Olympic Water Polo Venue no longer exists it’s legacy lives on. Having recently been awarded a ‘Sustainable Project of the Year’ award, despite no longer standing, we examine lessons learnt in designing for demountability and question the architect’s dream for permanence in a country struggling to cope with upgrading its existing building stock.

Please join us for an invigorating debate with some eminent protagonists to explore the future of temporary structures and celebrate both the built and unbuilt for what they were and how they may evolve in years to come.

Speakers include:
Prof. Peter Bishop, Allies and Morrison
Dan Epstein, Useful Simple
Hattie Hartman, Sustainability Editor, AJ
Morwenna Wilson, Argent
